EPIC Tournament Eastern PA
Some would say that finishing 0-1-2 in the EPIC Tournament this past weekend in Yardley PA was not very good, but I would say it is very good. The Speed girls started off the weekend in a 0-0 tie against the 36th ranked team in the country, then lost 0-1 to the 80th ranked team. Closing out the weekend on Sunday with a 1-1 tie against a very good Penn Nike Rush team. Yes the girls have a lot that they can work on, but now that they are playing against much better teams, we have found that they can hang with Division one teams. When they start working out their transition offence and start scoring some goals, those close loses and ties will turn into wins. Great job girls, keep up the hard work, you guys are not that far away.
